Hello Arroyo Parents and Guardians,
I hope that you had some wonderful family time during this past Thanksgiving week. For those of us who stayed in the area, the gorgeous weather certainly encouraged gratitude for our beautiful surroundings and all that we could do outside! And speaking about gratitude, I am so grateful for the beautiful children and supportive families who are members of our school community. And I am equally grateful for our wonderful teachers and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that our school community is able to focus on rigorous learning/critical thinking, creativity, collaboration/friendship, communication/ leadership skills, citizenship/ stewardship, and ownership of learning skills. I marvel at how much your children are learning and growing daily. It is a joy to witness every day!
Upcoming Dates to Keep in Mind:
- November 29: STEM Workshop in the CMS/ Arroyo Library
- November 30: Health Connected Parent Meeting for 5th grade Parents (before Puberty Talk)

SCEF Supports Arroyo!
Principal Marie Crawford says:
So much of our school budget is predetermined. Principal Flex Funds, Fund-a-Need and Field trip support from SCEF allow us to have some flexibility and choice on how best to serve our student’s needs. This year, we are funding Readers Workshop materials, bringing the Lawrence Hall of Science to campus, helping teachers prepare for the 4th grade Sutter’s Fort trip, supplying our Maker Space and offering a mindfulness program to help with self-regulation.
