Hello Parents and Guardians,
Happy Halloween! I’d like to once again thank all of the volunteers who have worked so hard to make this day very special for all of our students. We are very excited about all of the fun activities that will take place in Mustang Hall during each party session. I also wanted to mention that Arroyo is supporting the Teal Pumpkin Project, raising awareness for food allergies and promoting inclusion of all trick-or-treaters. Please have a happy and safe Halloween.
With the recent change in weather we’ve also recognized a need to have some ‘loaner clothes’ on hand, to be able to provide to students who slip in puddles (it happens!). If you have some gently worn sweat pants, shirts or shorts that you no longer need, please consider donating them to our ‘loaner clothing’ stash. This will help us to get students back into class sooner without having to wait for their parents to bring a clothing change. We’ll send the wet clothes home and the loaner clothes can be returned to the school, once they are washed and ready to use again.
Have a wonderful week. I hope to see many of you at Family Night on Wednesday!
Marie Crawford, Arroyo Principal
Book Fair is This Week!
This year’s pirate themed “Bookaneer” Book Fair is this week and is open before and after school. Most language arts classes will visit during their library time. Send your child to school with a check made payable to Central Arroyo PTA and we will fill in the amount spent, and send a receipt home so you know the amount. Join us for Family Night on Wednesday, November 2 from 6-8 pm to enjoy some free pizza/salad, do some shopping and exploring at Central and Arroyo. Aarrgh! Can’t make Family Night? Wish you could explore the book fair with your student? Your last chance to join us at the “Bookaneer” Book Fair with your student to find a literary treasure will be Friday, November 4 from 8-9 am. Join us in the library for some coffee and bagels. Hope to see you there! Any questions please contact Sara Mancini at email@example.com.
